Anne M. Vrooman has joined the State Bar of Michigan as Director of Research and Development. In this new position created by the State Bar of Michigan, Vrooman will assist in shaping future strategic directions of the Bar through research and analysis of emerging trends and their impact on the Bar and the legal profession.

Before joining the State Bar, Vrooman was a justice management consultant where she led strategic planning initiatives, conducted research and analysis, and worked with organizations to improve operations. Prior to that, she was with the Michigan Supreme Court and State Court Administrative Office for 14 years as Director of Intergovernmental Relations and Senior Management Analyst.

Vrooman received her undergraduate degree from the University of Regina, Canada, and is a graduate of the Kennedy School of Government Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at Harvard University. She resides in East Lansing with her husband, Theodore H. Curry.
