The Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association New Lawyers Council will hold an end of summer social and fundraiser on Thursday, August 10.

The event, which takes place at Como's Italian Restaurant at 22812 Woodward Ave. in Ferndale, runs from 6 to 9 p.m. A light dinner and appetizers will be provided, and a cash bar will be available. In lieu of charging to attend the social, the Young Lawyers Section and the New Lawyers Council will accept donations to benefit HAVEN, an organization based in Pontiac that strives to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault by offering treatment and prevention services in Oakland County and surrounding communities.
