The results of the July 2007 bar examination were released to applicants on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. The results were mailed by United States Postal Service to the address registered with the Board of Law Examiners. The names of certified passers will be posted on the Board of Law Examiners' website on November 5, 2007, after Noon.

Contrary to information in your admissions packet, please do not call the local bar associations unless directed below. All admission ceremony information is web based.

Local bar associations are in the process of scheduling their admissions ceremonies. We will post information on those ceremonies as soon as we receive it from the local bars. In addition, you may visit a local bar website, provided below, or contact your local Circuit Court Clerk.

United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan

Additional Information: Submit a letter stating that you wish to attend the ceremony along with a check for $200, payable to "Clerk, U.S. District Court" to the Clerk's Office at the above address before November 20. Upon receipt of your check, Court staff will send you an application for admission, other materials, and directions to the Courthouse. They will need your name and address, and the name of your sponsor, if you have one. (In order for you to be sworn in to the Michigan Bar, an attorney licensed to practice in Michigan must act as your sponsor and move for your admission to the bar.) If you do not have a sponsor, you may contact Co-Presidents of the New Lawyers Section, Jacob Gunter (734) 913-8110 or Bonnie Shaw (734) 302-6000 who will arrange for a member of the New Lawyers Section to move for your admission. You need to bring your letter of certification to Court Services on the first floor of the Washtenaw County Courthouse by noon on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 and be prepared to pay a $25 admission fee, payable to the Washtenaw County Clerk.
