Applications for Leave to Appeal

8/13/07

For many years, the period between an application for leave to appeal’s notice date and its actual submission to the Supreme Court was fairly long. The Clerk’s Office has long advised that responses would be submitted to the Court with the application if received within several weeks after the notice date. Recently, however, the time between filing and submission of applications to the Court has shortened dramatically. An application may now be submitted to the Court within days after the notice date. Please make every effort to submit your response by the notice date to ensure that the Court receives it with the application.

Please direct all questions to Corbin R. Davis, Supreme Court clerk, at MSC_Clerk@Courts.MI.gov or (517) 373-0120.
