Association of Legal Administrators Metropolitan Detroit Chapter Announces 2008 Partners Event 1/25/08 The Association of Legal Administrators Metropolitan Detroit Chapter will hold its 2008 Partners Event Tuesday, March 11 at the Skyline Club in Southfield. The program — titled "Law Firm Succession Planning: Why Is It Critical? — What’s Involved?" — will be presented by Alan R. Olson of Altman Weil, Inc. Law firms are facing a tidal wave of transitions as baby boomers are beginning to retire. Many firms have deepening gaps in practice areas and various experience levels. Added to this expected movement is the potential for unexpected transitions arising from health problems, departures to other firms, and career changes. For information regarding this event, contact Michelle A. Mistretta, the ALA Detroit Metro Chapter vice-president and education officer, at vicepresident@aladetroit.org. The Metropolitan Detroit Chapter was formed more than 30 years ago. Its mission is to provide high quality educational resources to promote and enhance the competence of all members of the legal management team. ### |
