Young Lawyers Summit Set for May 16-17

The State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section will hold its annual Young Lawyers Summit on Friday-Saturday, May 16-17 at Soaring Eagle Resort in Mt. Pleasant.

Highlights of the event include a Saturday evening dinner and presentation of the Regeana Myrick Outstanding Young Lawyer Award; a luncheon featuring remarks from guest speaker Hon. Clifford Taylor, chief justice of the Michigan Supreme Court; and a dozen seminars covering topics including alternative dispute resolution, appellate practice, civil procedures, criminal law, and family law; and a number of networking and social opportunities. The summit begins with registration from 4-7 p.m. Friday, followed by a welcome mixer from 7-10 p.m. 

The cost to attend the Young Lawyers Summit is $40 for State Bar of Michigan members who register prior to Tuesday, April 1, and $50 for SBM members who sign up after that date. Participants can reserve their spot by signing up online at http://e.michbar.org, faxing the registration form and credit card information to the State Bar at (517) 346-6365, or mailing the form with check or credit card payment to:
