Young Lawyers Section Hosts November Food Drive and Networking Event

The State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section is organizing two November events for some very worthy causes. On Wednesday, Nov. 18, YLS members will be collecting non-perishable food items at Taste Pizza Bar from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The restaurant is located at 1431 Times Square in downtown Detroit.

Young lawyers in the area are urged to give generously and to take advantage of this networking opportunity to mingle with others in the legal profession. Food collected will be distributed through the Coalition of Temporary Shelters (COTS) and Central High School in Detroit. All donations will benefit local families.

On Monday, Nov. 23, food items will be packed from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., and distributed at 11 a.m. at Central High School, located at 2425 Tuxedo. If you would like to help in this effort, or for more information, please contact Felicia Johnson at 313-549-6329 or fjohnson@co.wayne.mi.us.
