The State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section is looking for volunteers to assist with its fourth annual Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, August 22.

The event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries' DeVos Center, offers food, games, and fun for K-12 students whose parents are in local shelters. In addition to a meal, all kids in attendance will get a free backpack stocked with school supplies to make the 2008-2009 academic year a success. Volunteers are needed to fill a variety of roles, such as preparing food, serving meals, greeting and entertaining students, and stuffing backpacks.
