SBM Young Lawyers Section Seeks Volunteers for its Fourth Annual Back-to-School Bash

The State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section is looking for volunteers to assist with its fourth annual Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, August 22.

The event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries’ DeVos Center, offers food, games, and fun for K-12 students whose parents are in local shelters. In addition to a meal, all kids in attendance will get a free backpack stocked with school supplies to make the 2008-2009 academic year a success. Volunteers are needed to fill a variety of roles, such as preparing food, serving meals, greeting and entertaining students, and stuffing backpacks.

Please be sure to state the capacity in which you would like to serve. The event is co-sponsored by the D. Augustus Straker and Wolverine Bar Associations.
