Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Marilyn Kelly praised the State Bar Representative Assembly for its continued involvement in the Court's administrative process at an RA meeting in Lansing on April 18. In her special address to the 150-member body, she covered recent developments at the Court such as its new open administrative conferences. One of Kelly's goals is that "the Court adopt a written recusal procedure that is clear, fair, and workable." The Chief Justice asked for continuing input from bar members and also spoke of the possibilities and challenges that lie ahead in getting funding for access to justice projects and programs like therapeutic court.
