The State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section will present a public speaking seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Detroit Golf Club in Highland Park. This event has been customized for the YLS by Dale Carnegie Training, a world leader in the art of public speaking and persuasion.

Through individualized coaching, lectures, and short talks, YLS members will learn how to speak with confidence and clarity, hold audience attention, and face challenging and unexpected questions.

At the end of the program, one participant will be randomly selected to receive a scholarship for a full 12-week Dale Carnegie Training course (a value of $1,495).  All participants will receive a $49 gift card for use at a future Dale Carnegie one-day workshop.

Attendance is limited to members of the Young Lawyers Section. Pre-registration is required, and will cost $50 per person until Aug. 7, and $65 per person after that date. Lunch is included in the price, and is co-sponsored by Brooks Kushman PC.  Complimentary valet parking will be available.
