July 2010 Bar Exam Admission Ceremonies

10/14/10

The results of the July 2010 bar examination were released to applicants on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. The names of certified passers will be posted on the Board of Law Examiners' website on October 18, 2010, after 12:00 p.m.

After being sworn in to the courts of Michigan, you will need to complete a membership application to join the State Bar of Michigan and pay your membership dues. To complete the State Bar of Michigan new member application and pay by credit card, go to e.michbar.org click on “I am not a State Bar member with a P number. Sign Up (click here),” create a web account, and continue with the membership application. Do not create an account online until you have been sworn in. If you desire to complete the paper application and pay with a check, you may download a new member application form. After completing the new member application form, an original true copy, or certified copy of the Order of Admission will need to be provided to the State Bar of Michigan. Some courts provide the Order of Admission directly to the State Bar. You will not be eligible to practice law until you have been issued a P number by the State Bar of Michigan.
