Springboard Seminar to Focus on the Role of In-House Counsel

The State Bar of Michigan Labor and Employment Law Section will host its annual Springboard seminar at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at The Reserve at Big Rock Chop House, located at 245 S. Eton St. in Birmingham.

Springboard features a series of roundtable discussions followed by an evening of networking and complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres. This year the seminar will focus on the role of the in-house counsel. Three 45-minute roundtable sessions will allow participants to engage current and former in-house counsel and experienced mediators on topics including the role of in-house counsel in an employment matter, from initial investigation to litigation, settlement or mediation; how in-house counsel value cases; and how in-house counsel can impede or assist in settlement efforts during mediation.
