The State Bar of Michigan’s Public Policy Resource Center allows members to research key legislation and court rules online. Bills of interest to lawyers have been organized by practice area, facilitating searches for specific legislation. The Resource Center also provides access to a legislative and local government directory. Searches can be conducted by committee, leadership, or house or senate member name. Biographical information is available, as well as the ability to send e-mail directly to the representative or senator.

Members can also subscribe through the Resource Center to the Public Policy Update, a weekly e-mail newsletter that lists a summary of the bills and court rules posted online during the week, and provides links to relevant news articles.
