Sections and Committees

The Sections and Committees Department provides services to the 38 sections and 26 standing and special committees of the State Bar of Michigan. All new members of the State Bar automatically become members of the Young Lawyers Section, and many sections offer free membership to new Bar members.

Committee members are appointed by the SBM President-Elect and the appointment process begins in June of each year for the upcoming State Bar calendar year.
