FOCUS: CREC to be Held This Friday
The Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference (CREC) will be held on January 14 in Room 352 of the Capitol Building. Ellen Jeffries, director of the Senate Fiscal Agency, will chair the conference. Mitch Bean, director of the House Fiscal Agency, is expected to participate, along with either State Treasurer Andy Dillon or Budget Director John Nixon.

Presentations will be made by Joan Crary and George Fulton from the Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics at U of M; Nigel Gault, chief economist for HIS Global Insight; and David Allen, chief market analysis for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.

The newly elected members of the Michigan House of Representatives and Senate will be sworn into office on January 12.
The Michigan Senate has set its schedule beginning January 12, 2011, through September 1, 2011.
