The amendments of MCR 7.210 and MCR 7.212 extend the time period in which parties may request that a court settle a record for which a transcript is not available and clarify the procedure for doing so.

In its order entered December 21, 2011, in this file, the Court indicated that it is considering proposed amendments of MCR 1.109, 2.107, 2.113, 2.114, 2.518, 3.001, 3.101, 3.218, 3.800, 3.901, 3.903, 3.930, 4.001, 5.101, 5.113, 5.731, 6.007, 8.108, and 8.119. On order of the Court, this is to advise that except for the proposed provisions in MCR 1.109(D), the Court has extended to September 1, 2012, the public comment period for the proposal. The original April 1, 2012, deadline for public comment continues to apply to the proposed amendments of MCR 1.109(D), which the Court will consider at the public hearing that takes place following the expiration of that comment period.
