Legislative Action Last Week:
Summary of legislative action on all bills that the State Bar or sections of the State Bar have taken positions.
HB 4674 (Mental Health Code) passed the House 103 to 2 on November 9. The bill will now goes to the governor.
SBM Position: Support the portions of the bill that improve the functioning of the courts.
Elder Law & Disability Rights Position: Support.
Judicial Section Position: Support.

SB 597 (A Bill Relating to Certain Trusts) passed the Senate unanimously on November 10. The bill now goes to the governor.

November 18 Board of Commissioners Public Policy Agenda
The Public Policy, Image and Identity Committee will be meeting on Friday, November 18, 2016 to make recommendations for the full Board of Commissioners on public policy items. The agenda can be found online. Members of the State Bar are invited to submit comments to Board of Commissioners on any of the items on the agenda.
