SBM makes it easier for firms to make license renewal payments

The State Bar of Michigan is launching an improved service that allows firms to easily pay their attorneys’ license fees. The pilot program will automate the tracking, calculation, and processing of renewal payments for multiple attorneys.

Individual attorneys will continue to complete their renewal and annual disclosures online, but the new process allows an office administrator or manager from participating organizations to view the amounts due for multiple attorneys and pay the total license fee amount — without having to collect and send individual remittance documents for each attorney. Payments will be accepted via electronic or mailed check.
