The State Bar of Michigan is now offering mentoring to students at all five law schools in Michigan as part of a new Face of Justice program. As part of the program, law students will have an opportunity to “speed network” with Michigan attorneys with diverse backgrounds and focus areas in a virtual forum on September 14, 2022.

The event also is a unique opportunity for students from all five law schools in Michigan to meet, connect, and build relationships.

Organized by SBM’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, the event is modeled after programs developed by the National Association of Women Judges and is part of the State Bar of Michigan’s ongoing work to build and support a pipeline of students entering the legal profession.

Face of Justice previously had offered programming only for high school students interested in the legal profession. Through a collaboration with MentorJet, the State Bar of Michigan has partnered with all five law schools in Michigan to offer Face of Justice to their students.

Please encourage law school students you know to participate. Registration is required for participating students and mentors.

In addition to the speed networking event, student participants will be invited to meet in person this fall to network and prepare for summer clerkships/work experience. The session will include information on improving interview skills, communication, and professional etiquette.
