Gerrow (Gerry) Mason takes helm as chair of Representative Assembly

Gerry Mason, of Marysville, has been sworn in as the chair of the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly for 2022–2023. As chair, he will lead the 150-member group, which is the final policy-making body of the State Bar of Michigan.

Mason owns a full-service boutique law firm in Marysville, and practices law throughout Michigan. As chair of the Representative Assembly, he also will be a member of the Board of Commissioners and serve on its Finance and Executive committees. Mason also has served on the SBM Character and Fitness and Special Issues committees, and he has been recognized for his charity work as part of the State Bar of Michigan’s “A Lawyer Helps” initiative.

Mason earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1991 and graduated from Michigan State University (Detroit) College of Law in 1998 as class president.

The leadership of the Representative Assembly for 2022–2023 also includes Vice Chair Yolanda M. Bennett of Lansing and Clerk John Reiser of Ann Arbor.
