You're Invited to the 2018 Affinity Bar Summit

Greetings,

We invite you to participate in this very important summit meeting. This is an opportunity to participate in a nationwide project aimed at concrete improvements in the law and the legal profession. Join us as we discuss truth, racial healing, and transformation (TRHT) in the justice system, and help us provide input to the national discussion hosted by the W.K. Kellogg.

Date/Time: Saturday, October 20, 9:30 a.m-3 p.m.
Location: WMU Cooley Law School, 2630 Featherstone Rd, Auburn Hills
Cost: Free
Register Now

Breakfast begins at 9:00 a.m. and the program will kick off at 9:30 a.m. The day will include facilitated interactive workshops in the morning followed by lunch. In the afternoon, we will develop action steps and send you home with a “tool kit” to take back to your organization or community.

The TRHT focus on law and justice includes:

  • Local, state, and national policy
  • Commitment to civil and human rights
  • Redress for inequities our legal system has created historically
  • Criminal justice and law enforcement
  • Integrated restorative justice practices

We hope you can join us and please share the invitation with others if you can’t!
