Barons vs. Barristers
The Softball Game/Family Picnic EVENT of 2009

Heads Up! We are planning a “Friendly but Fierce and Fired Up” softball game between the Barons and the Barristers along with a family picnic to be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Ross Park in Norton Shores. The event will benefit the MCBA Law Education Fund. Each player will be charged a fee to participate on “hopefully” the winning team, and that fee will be donated to the Law Education Fund.

In addition, we are challenging each law firm to create a unique sponsorship item to be sold before, during, and after the softball game. These unique sponsorships can range from food items to attractions such as hiring a face painter or a clown. Perhaps several firms would prefer to join forces to sponsor an outstanding item. The proceeds from each sponsored item will also be donated to the Law Education Fund.

We are sure you won’t want to miss the chance to throw a few softballs at your fellow attorneys. Photographers are welcome to chronicle this event. Start now to gather your family and friends to join you on August 29th. Be sure you are ready with tee shirts, signs, horn blowers and a cheering section of all ages to root for the softball team of your choice. This event will be a hoot!

The Committee is happy to answer any questions you may have concerning the event. Please call Elaine Harris of Parmenter O’Toole at 722-5437 with your questions.
