State Bar of Michigan License Renewal Final Reminder to Avoid Pre-Suspension Process
According to our records, your 2019-2020 State Bar of Michigan annual disclosures have not been completed and your license renewal fee has not been paid.
In accordance with Supreme Court rules, a $50 late fee will be applied to payments made online after November 30, or postmarked after November 30 if the payment was mailed.

We are beginning the pre-suspension process for members with non-payment of fees, so it is important to renew your license now.
To complete your annual disclosures and pay online with a debit or credit card, echeck, or by printing a remittance document and mailing a check, start by visiting https://e.michbar.org. You can also visit the State Bar website at michbar.org and click on "Member Area Login."
The license renewal website has been tested with Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. It will not work with Internet Explorer.
Once you've logged in, click "Renew Your License Now" found near the bottom of the page.
If you, your firm, or employer will pay by mailing a check, complete your disclosures and other information online and then print a remittance document by clicking on "Mail a Check." If you can't print a remittance document but want to pay by physical check, write your P number on the check and mail to the address provided.

Law Firm Single Payment Process
Law firms and other entities paying for more than one attorney by mailing a check should ask their attorneys to 1) log in to https://e.michbar.org and complete disclosures and other information, 2) select "Mail a Check," 3) print the remittance document, and 4) provide the document to the firm administrator for processing and mailing with a check to the address provided.
Here are some tips to help you navigate the Member Area.
If you do not know or forgot your username or password, you can reset your password immediately by selecting the password reset button and entering your P number, birth date, and county where you were sworn in. You may also reset your password by email by entering your email address on record with the SBM. We will send you an email with instructions for choosing a new password.
In order to log in to your account, you may need to upgrade your internet browser to the latest version. The website will not work with Internet Explorer; consider installing Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
Passwords need to be at least 7 characters, include at least 1 number and 1 letter, and contain no special characters. For additional login assistance, please refer to the license renewal information page.
