The Downriver Bar Association is a nonprofit organization consisting of attorneys, law students, and professionals that work in the legal field. Most of our members reside, have offices, or frequently work Downriver. In general, Downriver encompasses everything south of Detroit and north of Monroe County. Our goal is to provide social, networking, educational, and charitable opportunities for our members.

While we provide a member list and an attorney Fields of Practice list, please note that by providing this information the Association makes no guarantees, promises, or endorsements. If you are unable to locate an attorney in our member directory, or you are looking for a specific area of practice not listed, the State Bar Michigan Lawyer Referral Service can assist you in finding the right attorney to handle your particular legal matter, (800) 968-0738.

The Downriver Bar Association meets once a month, usually on the first Wednesday of the month, from September through May. Annual dues are:

Existing members: $50

New member: $40

Existing member reduced rate for bringing a new member: $40

New lawyer within three years of bar passage: $30

Law Students: $25

Meeting drop-in: $15 fee

To join, please fill out the application and return to the Treasurer with your dues payment. Checks should be made out to the “Downriver Bar Association,” and mail them to Todd Barron, Treasurer, 23394 Goddard, Taylor, MI 48180.
