State Bar of Michigan 2015 Election Notice

State Bar of Michigan 2015 Election Notice

Electronic ballots will be distributed for the 2015 State Bar elections beginning on Thursday, May 28, 2015.  SBM members who do not have an e-mail address on file will receive a paper ballot.

There are contested races for the Board of Commissioners in District D, E, G, and H and in the Representative Assembly in Circuits 3 and 22. You will not receive a ballot if your address of record is not in one of those Districts or Circuits.

All eligible members with an e-mail address on file with the State Bar may vote securely online in the election.  This can be done by one of two methods.  First, beginning on May 28, eligible members with an e-mail address on file with the State Bar will receive an e-mail message informing them that it is time to vote.  Included in the message will be an embedded link that takes the recipient directly to the voting site and a ballot containing only the positions for which the member is entitled to vote.

The e-mail will come from SBM_Election_Admin@vres.com with the subject line "Vote Now in the 2015 State Bar of Michigan Election—E-Ballot enclosed" and not from the State Bar.

Please let your internet provider know this address so that it will be recognized to ensure that your ballot does not end up in your spam or trash folder.  Members may also go to the State Bar of Michigan’s website and sign into the Member Area using their member password.  Once they are in the member area there will be a link that will take them to the voting site and a ballot containing only the positions for which they are entitled to vote.
