Instructions: Applying for Admission to Practice as an Attorney in Michigan by Transfer of UBE Score

All applicants for admission by Uniform Bar Exam Transfer, must obtain or have a current Michigan Character & Fitness certification.

Candidates who have previously filed an application for the Michigan bar exam, must contact the Board of Law Examiners for an Application for Admission to Practice as an Attorney in Michigan by Transfer of UBE Score (UBET) form. The Board will advise you of your Michigan Character & Fitness certification status and determine if you are required to resubmit an application for Character & Fitness certification.

The following instructions are for Uniform Bar Exam Transfer candidates who have never applied to sit for the Michigan bar exam or undergone a Michigan Character & Fitness review.

The Application for Admission to Practice as an Attorney in Michigan by Transfer of UBE Score (UBET) form and Affidavit of Personal History (F-3) will be generated by the responses typed into the electronic questionnaire on the Applicant Portal. The UBET form, the finalized Affidavit of Personal History, and all required fees must be submitted electronically through the Applicant Portal.
