Join MAJ for an evening of food, wine, and discussion on how to obtain substantial verdicts despite minimal wage loss damages.

Carol Laughbaum, Sterling Attorneys at Law, Bloomfield Hills, will discuss her recent $16.8 million federal court jury verdict in an ethnicity discrimination case in which the employer argued plaintiff had no damages. Khalaf v Ford Motor Company et al, Case No. 15-12604 (E.D. MI, Hon. Marianne O. Battani).

Megan Bonanni, Pitt, McGehee, Palmer & Rivers, Royal Oak, will discuss her recent whistleblower case against the Jackson Public Schools which resulted in a $388,000 award.

The event, for MAJ members only, will be moderated by Jennifer McManus, Fagan McManus, Royal Oak. The cost (dinner and beverages provided) is $45 for MAJ members and $30 for MAJ members practicing three years or less. There will be an additional $20 charge for registering at the door.
