On November 9, 2017, the State Bar of Michigan hosted its annual President’s Reception, honoring its 82^nd President, Lawrence Nolan. The event was a success and all proceeds went to support the Access to Justice (ATJ) Fund to provide civil legal aid to the poor throughout the state. Although legal aid programs receive public and private funding, the need outpaces the available resources, and the ATJ fund seeks to fill that gap.
