The Genesee County Bar Association Pro Bono Committee, in collaboration with Legal Services of Eastern Michigan, hosted the Clean Slate Clinic on October 11, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church in Flint. Volunteer attorneys provided low-income residents of Genesee County with an overview of expungement eligibility, information on Friend of the Court bench warrant amnesty, and the process to set aside a conviction. The generosity of private attorneys who volunteer their time and expertise have a vital impact on the availability of legal services to the poor through participation in programs like this.
