The State Bar of Michigan Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section will host a meet and greet event from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 8 at GP Sports Bar in the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, located at 187 Monroe Ave. in Grand Rapids.

SBM Professional Standards Division Director Dawn Evans will lead a discussion about ethics. The department Ms. Evans oversees contains ethics, the Client Protection Fund, the Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program, the Lawyer Referral Service, and the unauthorized practice of law.

The Meet & Greet is open to both members and non-members of the section and will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet members of the section council and committee members, connect with local paralegals and enjoy free appetizers.
