"PDF Connections" and "Finding the Missing Magic in Microsoft Office" scheduled for July 28 in Lansing

The State Bar of Michigan Practice Management Resource Center will host two seminars on Monday, July 28 in Room 404 of the Cooley Center, located at 303 S. Capitol Ave. on the Thomas M. Cooley Law School Lansing campus.

The first seminar, "PDF Connections," will take place from 9 a.m. to noon and will teach attendees to make their entire offices more efficient with less paper using Adobe Acrobat and/or Nuance Power PDF. Tech expert Brett Burney will show legal professionals how to generate PDF files for e-filing, carrying on mobile devices and collaborating with colleagues; add Bates numbers, apply redactions and secure documents with passwords; add digital bookmarks and links to PDF files to make them much more useful and interactive; and re-arrange pages, split documents and make scanned documents text-searchable.

The second seminar, "Finding the Missing Magic in Microsoft Office," will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. and will teach attendees to take full advantage of all of the tools in Microsoft Office. Tech expert Brett Burney has designed this session specifically for all legal professionals that work in Microsoft Office who are guaranteed to leave the session with several "magical" tips to make life inside Microsoft Office easier and more efficient. Primary emphasis will be on Microsoft Word but will also touch on Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
