Diane Ebersole and JoAnn Hathaway, practice management advisors from the State Bar of Michigan Practice Management Resource Center, presented a seminar on the required technology to get a new law practice up and running. The seminar was presented at the Cooley Center in Lansing on January 25 and was simulcast at all Cooley Law School locations across the state. Topics included the pros and cons of operating systems, the best options for connectivity, telephone requirements, printing options, software solutions, mobile lawyering, considerations for successful software implementation, and usage and maintenance. The two-hour seminar was a joint initiative between the State Bar of Michigan, the Cooley Law School Faculty Center Technology Leadership Committee, and the Career and Professional Development Office at Cooley Law School.
