February 2013 Bar Exam Admission Ceremonies

The results of the February 2013 bar exam were mailed to applicants on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. The names of certified passers will be posted on the Board of Law Examiner's website on May 20, 2013, after 12:00 p.m. View the notice on the Board of Law Examiners' website.
After being sworn in to the courts of Michigan, you will need to complete a membership application to join the State Bar of Michigan and pay your membership dues. To complete the State Bar of Michigan new member application online and pay by credit card, go to e.michbar.org and create an account as a
pending active or pending voluntary inactive attorney and continue with the membership application if you have already been sworn in. Do not create an account online until you have been sworn in. If you wish to complete the paper application and pay with a check, you may download a new member application form. After completing the new member application form and payment of dues, an original true copy or certified copy of the Order of Admission will need to be provided to the State Bar of Michigan. Some courts provide the Order of Admission directly to the State Bar. As soon as the State Bar of Michigan has issued you a P number, you will be a member in good standing and eligible to practice law.
Local bar associations are scheduling their admissions ceremonies. We will post information on those ceremonies as soon as we receive it from the local bars.
