Please Note: On September 26, 2001, the Michigan Supreme Court amended Rule 2 of the Rules Concerning the State Bar of Michigan, eliminating the requirement that members of the Bar provide their home addresses to the Bar. Under the amendment, a business address will be sufficient unless it is a mailing address only. Although Rule 2 had included a “residence address” requirement since its inception, the Bar had not requested such information for many years. Read the full amendment.

The 8th Annual Business Law Symposium will be held on Thursday February 12, 2026, at The Little Gem Theatre, in Detroit Michigan, from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. The program is entitled “The Business Lawsuit” and it will focus upon the things that make the business litigator unique among lawyers and how the business lawsuit is prepared for and presented at trial. The program will begin with a one-hour social and networking hour, followed by individual presentations, panel discussions, and debate, commencing at 5:30 p.m., sharp.
