"Reinventing Michigan Cities Through Redevelopment," from July18-21 at Boyne Mountain Grand Lodge & Spa in Boyne Falls.
Programs and workshops will cover such topics as "Incentives and Issues with the Redevelopment of the 500 block in Flint," "A Detroit Success Story: Redevelopment in the Detroit Central Business District," "The Re-Do or Do-Over: Redeveloping the Retail Site," "Michigan's New Community Revitalization Program," "Financing Sources: What's Available and How to Help Your Client Obtain the Loan," and "Office/Industrial—Tenants: What to Ask For; Landlords: What to Give On (and Not)." Carol Cain, senior producer and host of "Michigan Matters" on CBS 62, and a columnist for the Detroit Free Press, will give a special presentation on "Reinventing Michigan."
Prior to May 14, the registration fee is $285 for RPLS members who are also first-time attendees, $325 for other RPLS members and $375 for non-section members. After May 14, the registration fee is $325 for RPLS members who are also first-time attendees, $385 for other RPLS members and $430 for non-section members. Members of the Young Lawyers Section can register for $100 both before and after May 14.
