2 New Virtual Support Groups for Attorneys to Start in April

The State Bar of Michigan’s Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program is offering two free, confidential virtual support groups for attorneys to help each other work through stress, improve their overall well-being to maximize professional competency, and connect with their peers. Due to increasing demand, participation will be limited to 24 participants. Meetings take place virtually via Zoom, from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and are facilitated by an LJAP Clinical Case Manager.   • Week 1: What are your strengths?
  • Week 2: The myth of work-life balance
  • Week 3: Mindfulness – observe and report and Distress Tolerance (Distraction)
  • Week 4: Distress Tolerance (Relaxation) and Distress Tolerance (Impulsivity and Crisis)
  • Week 5: Reframing
  • Week 6: Unique stressors of the profession
