License Renewal Now Open for 2022-2023
Michigan attorneys can now renew their State Bar of Michigan law license for the 2022-2023 Bar year. To renew your license, go to e.michbar.org.
All attorneys in the state of Michigan are required to annually renew their license and complete mandatory regulation disclosures. The new license year begins on Oct. 1, 2022, and ends on Sept. 30, 2023.
Official renewal notices are being emailed on or before September 20 to all licensed attorneys. The State Bar of Michigan uses an online renewal system to make it fast and easy for attorneys to renew their licenses. Section memberships can also be added during the license renewal process.

License renewal fees for 2022-2023 are set at $415 for active attorneys in the state of Michigan. The State Bar of Michigan administers the license renewal process and distributes the funds as directed by the Michigan Supreme Court. Fees paid by Michigan attorneys fund the State Bar of Michigan, the Attorney Discipline System, and the Client Protection Fund. Voluntary contributions and section memberships can add additional fees.
