Michigan Attorneys and the COVID-19 Vaccination

Beginning today, some Michigan attorneys are able to schedule appointments to receive a COVID-19 vaccination through their local health department.

People who fall under Group C of Phase 1B of the Michigan COVID-19 Vaccination Interim Prioritization Guidance are now eligible to register for the vaccination. This group includes “frontline essential workers in sectors essential to the functioning of society and at substantially higher risk of exposure to SARS-CoV-2 because their work related duties must be performed on site and involve being in close proximity (i.e., within 6 feet) to the public or to coworkers.”

If you believe you fall into this group (i.e., your work cannot be performed remotely and it puts you at a higher risk of COVID-19 exposure, such as a prosecutor or defense attorney who regularly visits jails and prisons), you should register for a vaccination with your local health department here. It will be up to each health department when registrants receive the vaccination.
