The 2025 Great Lakes Legal Conference, taking place June 13-14, is open to all State Bar of Michigan members and is a perfect opportunity to mingle with Michigan's legal leadership, build new connections, and learn from experts — including this year’s keynote speaker, Sateesh Nori, a nationally-renowned lawyer, law professor, and author.

The Great Lakes Legal Conference offers three learning tracks: Leadership, Legal Updates, and Practice Management. Session topics include, “Charting Your Path: Emerging as a Leader in the Legal Profession,” “Improv for Lawyers: Building Confidence, Creativity, and Communication Skill,” “The Bench Perspective: Preparation and Professionalism,” and many more. Participants can mix and match sessions from different tracks to personalize their conference experience.

New this year, attendees also have the option of meeting one-on-one with experts in MiFile, sections and bar associations, marketing and communications, and attorney well-being—at no additional cost.
