The State Bar of Michigan Board of Commissioners elected Suzanne C. Larsen July 25, 2025, to serve as Board secretary for the 2025-2026 Bar year.

Larsen will be officially sworn into her new role at the September 19, 2025, BOC meeting, taking place at the Detroit Marriot Troy, preceding the 2025 Presidential Inauguration & Awards Luncheon. She will be sworn in alongside other incoming officers Lisa J. Hamameh (president), Erika L. Bryant (president-elect), Thomas H. Howlett (vice president), and David C. Anderson (treasurer).

Larsen has practiced law in Marquette since 1997, provided legal services to the City of Marquette for many years as a partner at Kendricks Bordeau, PC before transitioning to the in-house city attorney in 2022. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her law degree from Wayne State University. Larsen has served on the Board for six years and for four years served on its Public Policy Committee. She has also served on the Professional Standards Committee and the Strategic Planning and Engagement Committee. In addition to serving on the Board, Larsen served for several years on the Bar’s Representative Assembly.
