U.S. Eastern District Notice of Amendments to Local Rules

At their regular meeting on October 6, 2025, the Judges of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan approved amendments to LR 83.32(e), Possession and Use of Electronic Devices in Federal Court Facilities: Permitted and Prohibited Uses. Pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 83, the proposed amendments were previously published for comment.

Also, at their regular meeting on October 6, 2025, the Judges approved Electronic Filing Policies and Procedures – LR Appendix ECF.
These amendments will be effective November 1, 2025.
