All the Ways A Lawyer Helps

SBM Lawyers ‘Deliver’ on MLK Day

Attorney Cynthia Ward, along with another attorney and four other volunteers, spent their MLK Day of Service helping out at the Tri-County Office on Aging Meals on Wheels program. Ward and her fellow volunteers convened in the Sam & Eva Eyde Kitchen for Independence where they were tasked with preparing 900 “R Bags” which contain a fruit, condiment, starch, and a sweet item, and they accompany the regular hot meals that are delivered as part of the Meals on Wheels program. Although Ward and the others did not actually deliver the meals, they certainly delivered by accomplishing their 900-bag goal.

The Tri-County Office on Aging Meals on Wheels program provides a hot, well-balanced meal delivered daily by volunteers. Frozen meals are available on weekends and some special dietary needs may be accommodated upon request.
