Each month the Kalamazoo County Bar Association, through the Kalamazoo County Law Library, sponsors free legal clinics for individuals who cannot afford an attorney, based on their income. Attorneys consult with low-income members of the public 20-30 minutes and provide advice to help solve legal problems. There is never a charge for clinic services.
On October 10th, The Kalamazoo County Bar hosted an Expungement Clinic at the Kalamazoo County Law Library. Qualified individuals signed up for the clinic in advance and appeared on the 10th. The clinic retrieved the criminal history records for those interested and covered the cost of the application process for those who were found to be eligible for an expungement.
