John G. Mooney Recognized for Pro Bono Service


Each year, attorney John Mooney donates a substantial number of hours of pro bono legal services, helping increase access to justice for many low-income Michigan families.

For more than five years, Mr. Mooney has been a member of the QDRO Program’s pro bono attorney panel.(More Info). In addition to the QDRO Program, Mr. Mooney volunteers with several Michigan legal services programs. Mr. Mooney’s legal knowledge, generosity, and ongoing commitment to access to justice has made him a tremendous asset to the QDRO Program, Michigan’s legal services programs, and the low-income clients the programs serve.

Mr. Mooney’s outstanding pro bono service provided in the 2019 calendar year also qualified him for recognition on the 2020 A Lawyer Helps Pro Bono Honor Roll (View 2020 Honor Roll). You can also check out the 2020 Honor Roll in the upcoming October 2020 issue of the Michigan Bar Journal.
