Family Law Section Demographic Report, 2025

The Family Law Section includes attorneys handling domestic relations matters in Michigan courts. Members serve families and individuals in divorce, custody, support, and adoption cases. The section supports stable family outcomes and child-centered decision-making. The Family Law section is composed of 2,451 active members, with 2,364 (96.45%) residing in the State of Michigan. Approximately 6.92% of Michigan's legal professionals belong to this section.
