Virtual Swearing-In Ceremony Held for Bar Passers

Updated December 1, 2020

The Michigan Supreme Court and State Bar of Michigan welcomed nearly 60 participants in a virtual swearing-in ceremony on November 30, 2020.

Continuing a practice that began in May in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, bar passers were given this unique opportunity to be sworn in by Chief Justice Bridget McCormack, upon a motion presented by State Bar of Michigan President Rob Buchanan.

Several local bar associations also held virtual ceremonies to safely welcome new attorneys to the practice of law during the pandemic.
