Deadline to fill out Economics of Law survey extended

The deadline to fill out the 2026 Economics of Law survey has been extended to Wednesday, March 11, to encourage participation from both private- and non-private-practice attorneys, which is crucial.
Conducted every three years, the Economics of Law Survey gathers economic insights for Michigan attorneys including average income levels across more than 50 specific fields of practice; demographic data; and county-by-county and statewide average billing rates. Courts statewide use the information and analysis provided when determining attorney fees. The survey is also a useful tool for attorneys, who can look at averages based on location and practice area to see how their rates compare.
The Economics of Law survey takes just 10 minutes to complete and attorneys who complete the survey can enter for a chance to win an Amazon gift card. One $500 Amazon gift card, two $250 Amazon gift cards, and five $100 Amazon gift cards will be awarded to participants.
