Oakland County Probate Court: Mysteries of Probate Court

On Thursday, April 19, 2018, the Oakland County Probate Court, sponsored by the Citizens Alliance for the Oakland County Probate and Circuit Courts, will be conducting a free seminar titled Removing the Mysteries of Probate Court in conjunction with the Auburn Hills Senior Services from 10:00 a.m.–noon. This program is designed to enlighten and educate senior citizens and their families so that they may make informed decisions regarding their estate planning and understand the probate process. The Auburn Hills Senior Services is located at 1827 N Squirrel Road, in Auburn Hills.

The seminar will include topics such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, and will provide useful information on how to begin probate proceedings, when to consider use of guardianships and conservatorships, and how avoiding probate could cause more harm than good.

Panelists will include Jill Koney Daly, Retired Oakland County Probate Register and attorney with Chalgian and Tripp Law Offices in Southfield, and attorney Robert Isgrigg Jr. with Schmidt, Isgrigg, Anderson & Miller, in Waterford. Materials will be available and adequate time will be available for questions.
