The Italian American Bar Association of the Michigan will host its 84^th Annual Winter Gala at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. This event is black tie optional, and features live music by Pino Marelli, a full Italian dinner and dessert menu and drink selections. “The event offers an evening of fun and comradery and includes various presentations and awards, including a scholarship award to one local student. Recently, the committee for this event has partnered with a local charity, Friends of Foster Kids, and a portion of event proceeds will go to benefit this charity. All guests are also asked to bring an unwrapped child’s holiday gift in hopes of brightening the season for a child who is currently in the foster care system. As one of the largest and oldest ethnic bar associations in the entire country, this event has been a staple and a somewhat infamous event in the local legal community. It is always well attended by local business leaders, attorneys, judiciary, and staff. Come join the tradition. Tickets are $100 per person and this event is open to non-members.
