"Introduction to District Court" -  Are you a new lawyer?  New to Oakland County?  Do you want an inside view of Oakland County courts?  If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, the OCBA invites you to register for its Introduction to Practice seminar series.  Top lawyers and judges will give you the information you need to practice successfully.  The series consists of five seminars that will be held weekly from January 7 through February 4, 2016.  The first seminar, "Introduction to the District Court," will cover civil infractions, misdemeanors and civil procedure; court appointment procedures; foreclosures' and landlord/tenant issues.  Cost: $25 per person ($90 for all five seminars).
